Connecting Blogger requires setting up your own OAuth app in Google Cloud Console first — Blogger doesn't offer a simple API key like some other platforms. It takes a few extra steps, but only needs to be done once.

1

Enable the APIs & Services Panel

Go to Google Cloud Console. Create a new project (or select an existing one), then go to APIs & Services → Enabled APIs & Services → + Enable APIs and Services.

Step 1: Enable APIs and services in Google Cloud
Step 1: Open Enabled APIs and services from the menu
2

Enable the Blogger API

Search for Blogger API and enable it.

Step 2: Enable the Blogger API
3

Create OAuth Credentials

Go to the Credentials tab and create OAuth Credentials.

Step 3: Create OAuth client ID credentials
4

Configure the Consent Screen

If it's a new project, you'll be asked to configure the Consent Screen — this also appears if you try to create an OAuth client ID before it's set up. Fill in the basic app information, set the Audience to External, and finish the setup.

Step 4: Fill in app information for the consent screen
Step 4: Set the consent screen audience to External
Step 4: Consent screen required before creating a client ID
5

Publish the App

Once the consent screen is set up, go to the Audience tab and click Publish App.

Step 5: Publish the app
6

Create the OAuth Client ID

Select the application type as Web application and add this Authorized Redirect URI: https://app.someposter.ai/api/social-accounts/blogger/callback.

Step 6: Add the authorized redirect URI
7

Copy Your Credentials

Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from Google Cloud, then paste them into SoMePoster's Connect Blogger dialog — it includes the same setup guide for reference.

Step 7: Enter your Client ID and Client Secret in SoMePoster
8

Sign In and Grant Access

When you click Save & Connect, SoMePoster redirects you to the Google login screen. Sign in to your account and make sure to check Manage your Blogger account in permissions.

Step 8: Grant SoMePoster access to your Blogger account
