SoMePoster lets you write a post once and publish it across dozens of platforms at the same time, from social networks to blogs and webhooks. This tutorial covers the full flow: picking your platforms, connecting the right accounts, writing your content, and publishing or scheduling the post.
Go to Create Post
Open SoMePoster and click Create Post from the left menu.
Select the Platforms You Want to Post To
At the top of the Create Post page, choose the platforms where you want to publish.

Select the Correct Account for Each Platform
After selecting platforms, choose the account, page, profile, blog, site, board, or audience for each one.
Examples:
- For Facebook, select the Facebook Page.
- For Instagram, select the Instagram account.
- For LinkedIn, select the LinkedIn profile or company page.
- For Pinterest, select the Pinterest account.
- For X / Twitter, select the X account.
- For Google Business Profile, select the business location.
- For Blogger, select the Blogger account.
- For WordPress, select the connected WordPress site.
- For WordPress.com, select the WordPress.com site.
- For Webflow, select the Webflow site/CMS collection.
- For Shopify, select the Shopify blog.
- For Mailchimp, select the Mailchimp audience.
- For Ghost, select the Ghost site.
- For DEV.to, select the DEV.to account.
- For Telegram, select the Telegram account.
- For Make or n8n, select the connected webhook.
If a platform needs an extra selection, choose it before posting. Examples: Pinterest needs a board, Blogger needs a blog, WordPress.com needs a site, Webflow needs a CMS collection, Shopify needs a blog, Mailchimp needs an audience, and Facebook needs a page.
Write Your Post Content
Now write your post in the editor. The content can include normal text, paragraphs, lists, and links.
The title is created automatically from the first line of your content. For example, if the first line is "How to improve your SEO strategy," SoMePoster will use that as the title for platforms that need a title, such as Blogger, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, DEV.to, Mailchimp, and Pinterest.
Check the Automatic Title
SoMePoster fills the title automatically from the first line, but you can edit it if needed. This is useful if you want the blog title to be different from the social media caption.
Add an Image
Click the image upload area and select an image from your computer. Some platforms require an image, for example Instagram and Threads. Other platforms can post with or without an image, depending on the type of post you want to create.
Optional: Edit Content Per Platform
If you want different text for different platforms, turn on Edit content per platform. This lets you write separate content for each platform.
For example: short text for X, more detailed text for LinkedIn, blog-style content for WordPress or Blogger, hashtags for Instagram, or a different title for Pinterest or DEV.to. If you do not turn this on, the same content will be used for all selected platforms.
Optional: Choose Free or Paid for X
If you are posting to X / Twitter, choose whether the account is Free or Paid. This matters because X has different character limits: Free accounts use the shorter limit, and Paid accounts can use longer posts. SoMePoster uses this setting to split or trim the content correctly.
Optional: Use Saved Selections
If you often post to the same platforms and accounts, once you select your accounts and their sub-accounts, click Save Selection.
A modal will open. Enter a name for the selection, then click Save Selection.
Next time, choose it from the saved selection dropdown and SoMePoster will load the same platforms, accounts, pages, boards, blogs, sites, and audiences. If you change the selected platforms or accounts, click Update Selection to save the changes.
If you reconnect an account, quickly check the saved selection before posting — if anything is missing, select it again and click Update Selection.
Optional: Interlink Web2 to Social Media
If you are posting to both social platforms and blog/Web2 platforms, you can enable Interlink Web2 to social media. When this is enabled, SoMePoster publishes the social media posts first, then adds their final URLs to the bottom of the Web2/blog posts.
This works when you select at least one social platform and at least one Web2/blog platform. Web2/blog platforms include Blogger, WordPress, WordPress.com, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Ghost, DEV.to, and LiveJournal. If you are only posting to social media, or only to Web2/blog platforms, you can leave this option off.
Choose Post Now or Schedule
Choose how you want to publish: Post Now publishes immediately, and Schedule lets you choose a future date and time. If you schedule the post, choose the correct date and time before continuing.
When everything is ready, click Publish. SoMePoster will queue the post and start publishing to the selected platforms.
Check the Result in My Posts
After posting, go to My Posts.
There you can see each platform separately with its status: Published, Pending, Processing, Failed, or Scheduled. You can also copy final post URLs when the platform returns them.
If a platform fails, SoMePoster shows the reason beside that platform. Common causes are missing permissions, a disconnected account, an invalid board/blog/site/page, rejected media, an API that was temporarily unavailable, content that was too long, or a required title/image that was missing. After fixing it, you can publish again.
